WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE SKOSH?

At Skosh, we pride ourselves on our personal approach to preparing your catering proposal. From your initial consultation, we are able to take your vision and put it into words on paper with a customized menu that speaks to you. Utilizing fresh, seasonal ingredients and the most esteemed culinary techniques, the food speaks for itself.

Beyond incredible food, we also have a team experienced in full service, off-premise events. Executing an event with superior logistics with no pre-existing event or kitchen infrastructure is complicated, but luckily it’s our forte.


 

HOW MUCH DOES CATERING COST?

Unfortunately, there is no quick answer to that question. Off-premise catering is such a unique service that depends so much on the details of each event. For example, does your venue provide tables, chairs, linens, and the bar package? Or are we in a field where all of those items need to be brought in, set up, and broken down the same night in the dark requiring late night labor fees?

We are here to help you navigate the costs associated with off-premise catering, and our goal is to produce a proposal that incorporates all of your event needs within a budget with which you are comfortable.


 

Do you offer Tastings?

Absolutely. A tasting is the last step in the proposal process. Once all parties have approved the catering proposal from menu items to pricing, a private tasting is scheduled where we taste items specifically from your catering proposal, not a general tasting menu. Tastings require a $100.00 per person tasting fee, but once the wedding/event is booked, the total tasting fee is deducted from the total catering contract essentially making it entirely complimentary.

We do not offer free tastings. The tasting fee is meant to assist in covering product and labor costs associated with producing a custom tasting.


 

DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM?

Please note that as a small business that offers curated services, our resources are limited and we only take on so many events in a day or week. Because of that, we do have order minimums in place. Please see below and contact us directly if you might have an exception.

Monday - Thursday: $2,500
Friday & Sunday: $5,000
Saturday: $12,000

Wedding clients should expect to spend a minimum of $75.00 per person.


 

Why don’t you have Menus for me to choose from?

We don’t believe in them - plain and simple. Your event is like no other event, so it deserves more than selecting from package X, Y, or Z. We value the time we spend talking to our clients about their events and interpreting their needs. Let us take your company’s brand, your family’s favorite foods, or your event’s theme and create a menu and a vision that is exclusive to your event.

Not every menu works in every venue, either. Sometimes, we have a full kitchen to utilize on site while other times we need to bring all food in hot and ready to serve. We may also need to bring in portable ovens, fryers, etc. which might not fit with every event’s budget. Let our experienced culinary team guide your menu to make sure we deliver the best quality product.


 

What other services can you help me with?

We can provide as much or as little as you need including but not limited to tables, chairs, linens, glassware/flatware/china, tents, equipment, floral centerpieces, service staff, alcohol, etc. Having executed so many successful off-premise events, we know what your event will need to run smoothly. You are also welcome to provide any of these services yourself by working directly with other service vendors.

While we do not stand in as your day-of coordinator, we will be happy to recommend some of our favorite vendors that specialize in that service! And we also highly recommend it!

CAN YOU HELP WITH DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

Absolutely. We not only accommodate guests with dietary restrictions, we go above and beyond to make sure they are well fed and taken care of. Whether that’s integrating their needs into the menu or providing alternative meals served directly to them to avoid cross contamination, we pride ourselves on ensuring all guests have the same experience at an event. While we are not an allergen free kitchen, we take all precautions possible to ensure the safety of your guests.
